Brutus Road BridgeEmmet County, MichiganMap View
This crossing previously consisted of undersized twin culverts, and battles seasonal pooling and erosion. The hydraulic analysis, engineering plans, permits and specifications for the replacement bridge were completed in 2013. The selected three-span timber bridge spans 20 feet, 30 feet, and 20 feet. The overall length of 70 feet for this structure extends past the bank full width of the river and allows passage of the 100 year storm event. Construction of this bridge was completed in 2016.
