A party was evaluating the potential purchase of a golf course in northern Michigan and was concerned about potential environmental issues that may be associated with the properties. Gosling Czubak provided a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA). The Phase I ESA reveled evidence of recognized environmental conditions (REC) associated with the subject property. Further investigation was completed, including the collection of soil and groundwater samples during the Phase II portion of the ESA. Analytical results indicated contamination was not present at the sampled locations. The sale of the property was completed and the new owners protection from potential liability was preserved during the process.
