Originally built in the 1970s, the facility discharges to a massive wetland complex at the headwaters of the Muskegon River. The newly improved facility includes over 60 acres of lagoons, 20 acres of infiltration filter beds, 85 acres of septage basins, and an upgraded wetland discharge. It has a capacity of 1 MGD.
