We have extensive experience with tank closure site assessments and leaking underground storage tank (UST) investigation, remediation, risk assessment, and site closure. We use a risk-based corrective action (RBCA) process to evaluate hydrocarbon-contaminated sites. The RBCA process takes into consideration the level of risk that contamination may affect human health and the environment. In cases where the risk is low, RBCA allows closure of a site with contamination left in place or, for sites that do require active remediation, allows cleanup goals that may be significantly less stringent. In many instances, the result is site closure at a fraction of the cost of cleanup, meeting fixed state or federal standards.
