Civil Engineering Construction Technician

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

General Job Description

Gosling Czubak Engineering Sciences, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Civil Engineering Technician with experience in civil engineering construction observation and materials testing. This is a seasonal position. Expected duration May - August.

Responsibilities Will Include

  • Represent Gosling Czubak on construction sites
  • Work with the engineers, contractors, and owners to successfully complete the construction project
  • Observation and inspection for road, site development, and utility construction
  • Testing of concrete, soils, asphalt, and other construction materials in the laboratory and field.
  • Prepare written reports, resolve problems in the field, verify compliance with construction standards

Required Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience providing materials testing and construction observation
  • High School Diploma required (Civil Technology degree is a plus)
  • Experience with materials testing, testing certifications, and /or Associates Degree in related field required. MDOT experience and certifications is a plus.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Candidate must be able to develop and maintain good relationships with clients and team members.
  • U.S. Employment authorization required

Compensation and Benefits

  • Wage is negotiable depending on experience
