Accessible Playground and Park Complete in Glen Arbor
A one-of-a-kind park and playground is complete in Glen Arbor, Michigan. Gosling Czubak assisted Glen Arbor Township to realize its goals of complete accessibility, new pickle ball courts, additional basketball courts and play equipment for all ages at its new township park.
The previously existing park was a large sandy lot, which posed barriers to accessibility. The equipment was old, and rarely used.
The new park has state-of-the-art pickle ball courts and adaptable kids play structures designed for skill building for all ages and abilities. Other features include basketball and tennis courts, and even exercise equipment that adults can use while still in sight of their kids. The walkways throughout the park are ADA compliant, with grades less that 5% for easy weelchair maneuverability.
Glen Arbor Township will be holding a ribbon cutting ceremony at the new park on Wednesday, August 15 at 4 P.M.
