Gosling Czubak Acquires UAS

Flying High in the Sky

Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) are commonly used for creating aerial photography and videography. But, they can produce much more than pretty pictures. Gosling Czubak now offers aerial services in combination with high accuracy ground control to produce digital terrain models, perform visual inspections, create 3D renderings, and more.

More than Pretty Pictures

Most of us have witnessed recreational UASs flying overhead, perhaps capturing the beauty of Lake Michigan. While those UASs create spectacular imagery to be sure, the end product is, well, the end.

With in-air stabilization and high resolution cameras, commercial UASs produce the most accurate data and clearest images possible. Trained surveyors use UAS software to translate the data into a platform used to design buildings, sites, and underground infrastructure systems. In other words, the data is just the beginning.

What are the Applications?

Trained surveyors are able to use the data gathered by the UAS in a variety of ways:

  • Aerial inspection
  • Efficient, accurate mapping solutions
  • Volume surveys
  • Stockpile surveys
  • 3D Visualizations
  • Coastal dune management
  • Bridge inspections
  • Building.roof inspections
  • Documenting construction progress
