The Montmorency-Oscoda-Alpena Landfill serves 23 municipalities in northeast Michigan. Gosling Czubak provides engineering, surveying, and environmental compliance services to the MOA Landfill. Engineering services provided to date include: design, bidding, and construction oversight of stormwater collection and control basins; design and bidding for the construction of a new landfill cell; preliminary design of a leachate transfer system; preparing operations permit application; and, preparation of a Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) plan for activities regulated by Part 115. Gosling Czubak provides surveying on a quarterly basis, and as needed, for the determination of compaction effort, air space determinations, and compliance with Part 115 rules regarding embankment sloping. Environmental services include review of groundwater sampling data, preparation of hydrogeological monitoring reports, and MEARS, greenhouse gas, and SARA Tier II reporting.
